So, here I am right after Thanksgiving. I just did a month of the November TT Muscle Gain & Fat Loss Workouts. I put a heavy emphasis on muscle gain and I'd say it worked. OMG! I thought I'd post this for all of you who e-mail worrying that you might lose muscle if you switch to Turbulence Training, or that you can't gain muscle unless you're in the gym all day doing 16 sets of isolation exercises for each muscle group. Not true, not true. This month, I was doing three 45 minute workouts a week (weights and cardio combined) and I gained muscle so easily that it amazed me. I believe I'll back off a little now and work on getting all dainty and sylph-like. :-D
Like he was reading my mind, Craig just released the 12 Workouts of Christmas to his members. It's twelve 12-minute workouts. Some are upper, some are lower, some are total body, and some are bodyweight circuits. You keep alternating them until you run out, and then you take a rest day and start over. They deliver a nice little metabolism blast and then you get on with your day. Love that. The dogs will probably appreciate it too. They hate it when they have to watch me workout for 45 minutes before we go on our walk. They put their chins on the floor and cry.
Speaking of the silly hounds, today on our walk, Ripley found a cooked Thanksgiving turkey carcass in the street. It had the little plastic pop-up thing still stuck in it and everything. This is the stuff dogs dream of! She, squealed, pounced on it, picked it up, and started jumping around like a lottery winner. I yelled, "off!" and she let go of it. I can't decide if she's really obedient or if she just lost her grip on it. I'm thinking the latter. Anyway, it was cute.
If you haven't been over to Alwyn's blog lately, he just posted a brilliant message about goal setting. Check out The Goal Snowball.
